The Devil's Music

"The Devils Music" was the title of a five-part documentary film series made for BBC Television in 1976, drawing extensively on interviews with blues singers from Chicago, New York, St Louis, Memphis and Mississippi. Artists ranged from the well-known (Big Joe Williams, Bukka White, Sam Chatmon, Victoria Spivey, Henry Townsend) to the relatively young and unknown (Joe Carter, Fenton Robinson, Good Rockin' Charles). The Devils Music aklbums have been unavailable for over 25 years and this is their first release on CD. Bonus disc 3 comprises a rare live open air blues featival recorded in Germany in 1963.
